3. Military beginnings: His distinguished career began in 1987 when he enrolled in the Nigerian Defence Academy as part of the 39th Regular Course.

4. Commissioning: On September 19, 1992, he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Nigerian Infantry Corps, marking the official start of his service.
