2025 AFCONQ: Nkhakananga set to oversee Nigeria vs Libya match

Malawian referee Godfrey Philip Nkhakananga has been appointed to officiate the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying match between Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Libya’s Mediterranean Knights.

The match will take place on Friday at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, with kickoff scheduled for 5 p.m.

Nkhakananga will be supported by fellow Malawians Clemence Kanduku and Joseph Nyauti as assistant referees, while Botswanan Keabetswe Dintwa has been assigned as the fourth official. Ghanaian Munkaila Nassam Adam will serve as the match commissioner, with Issaka Boubacar from Niger and Mayowa Akingbemisilu as the referee assessor and broadcast venue manager, respectively.

 

This Matchday 3 encounter promises to be a pivotal moment in the AFCON qualifiers as both teams vie for a place in the 2025 tournament.
