Joining the event at Ikot Ekpene Township Stadium will be Senate President Godswill Akpabio as the chief host, alongside Cross River Governor Bassey Otu.

Other notable attendees include Ekperikpe Ekpo, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), and Senator Ita Enang, Chairman of the APC LG Election Campaigns.

“The success story of APC led administration (federal) is clear indication that the party is a transformational movement. Akwa Ibom must not and should never ever be left out of this transformational movement” the State Party Chairman emphsised.

He enjoined all chairmanship and councillorship candidates of the party, State, LG and Ward Executives, supporters as well as the general public to join the campaigns.

For Sen Enang, “The APC campaign flag off will mark a significant milestone in the history of opposition politics in the state with specific reference to Local Government elections.

“It is a bold statement to other contending parties that APC is prepared and ready for the contest. We intend by this exercise to announce the presence of our great party and to reach out to millions of our supporters and the Akwa Ibom electorate with the message of change.”
