BREAKING: NEC recommends withdrawal of controversial Tax Reform Bills

The National Economic Council (NEC), led by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, has advised the withdrawal of the Tax Reforms Bill currently under review in the National Assembly.

This decision was revealed by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde after Thursday’s NEC meeting, held at the State House.

Governor Makinde stated that NEC’s recommendation comes amid rising public debate and concerns surrounding the tax reform bills.

He emphasized the importance of involving relevant stakeholders in the discussion to ensure a comprehensive and acceptable framework.

The tax reform bills will be withdrawn for further consultation, aiming to create policies that better reflect the interests and needs of all parties involved.
