AFCON Qualifiers: Rwanda unshaken by Super Eagles squad – Bizimana

Rwanda’s captain, Djihad Bizimana, has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to overcome the Super Eagles in their final 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier, despite acknowledging the strength of their opponents, as reported by News360 Nigeria. 

Facing a must-win scenario to keep their AFCON hopes alive, Bizimana admitted the quality of the Nigerian squad, composed of European-based stars, but dismissed any fear.

“Nigeria has big players, all of them playing in Europe, but that is not enough reason for us not to win,” Bizimana stated during a media briefing.

Determined to lead his team to the continental showpiece in Morocco, the captain emphasized the importance of the encounter. “We want to play in the AFCON next year. So we must fight, and we must win,” he added.

The Amavubi face a daunting challenge against the three-time African champions, but Bizimana’s bold declaration underscores their determination to achieve a historic result.
