Gunmen attack Innoson Showroom in Anambra, abduct three

The Anambra State Police Command has confirmed an attack by gunmen at the Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) showroom in Nnewi, leading to the abduction of three persons.

According to a statement from the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the incident occurred around 6:45 pm on Tuesday along Owerri Road, Nnewi.

Ikenga disclosed that a joint security operation has been launched to rescue the abductees and apprehend the perpetrators. Efforts are underway to ensure the safety of the victims and restore calm in the area.

He said, “The Police Command is determined and is already working with information obtained from the scene for the ongoing rescue operations.

“The Command also urges residents or anyone with useful information that will aid the investigation to come forward to the Command headquarters, Awka, or the nearest police station.”
