Edo Assembly suspends all LG chairmen, vice over alleged fund misappropriation

The Edo State House of Assembly has suspended the Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of all 18 Local Government Councils in the state over allegations of misappropriation of funds.

The suspension decision was made during Tuesday’s plenary session following intense deliberations by lawmakers representing the affected local councils.

In the interim, the legislative heads of the councils have been directed to oversee their administration for the next two months.
