BREAKING: Residents shot as gunmen atttack El-rufai Estate in Abuja

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers reportedly shot a man identified as Nathaniel after a foiled kidnapping attempt by Nigerian police operatives in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The incident occurred around 2 am on Wednesday in El-Rufai Estate, located in the Bwari Local Government Area of the Territory, according to sources gathered by News360 Nigeria.

The kidnappers were said to have attempted to abduct many of the residents before the operatives of the FCT police command foiled their operation, in a fierce gun duel that lasted for about 30 minutes.

The FCT police command spokesperson Josephine Adeh who confirmed the incident to SaharaReporters on Wednesday, said many of the gunmen escaped with bullet wounds.

While she called on the general public to report anybody seen with bullet wound to Police.

“We received a distress call and mobilized operatives, who swiftly repelled the miscreants in a gun duel. Many of them escaped with bullet wounds.

“We are on the trail of the kidnapperskidnappers, so we urge the general public to report anybody seen with bullet wound to Police,” she said.
