BREAKING: Explosion rocks political party headquarters in Rivers

An explosive device was detonated at the Action People’s Party (APP) secretariat in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, around midnight, shattering nearby windows.

The Rivers State Police Command quickly responded, deploying security vehicles and personnel to the scene in the new Government Residential Area (GRA).

Despite the incident, routine activities in the area continue smoothly.

The APP, a relatively unknown party in Rivers State, recently garnered attention after establishing its secretariat in the upscale area of Port Harcourt.

There are speculations that the party is supported by some disgruntled members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who are dissatisfied with the current management of their party in the state.

This unfortunate incident suggests underlying tensions surrounding the recent rise in popularity of the APP in Rivers State.
