Collaborative for Frontier Finance (CFF), a leading Inclusive Finance Company based in Kenya, has announced the appointment of Chinwe Egwim as its new Chief Economist and Director of Research and Impact Lab.

CFF is recognized for its commitment to enhancing access to capital for small and growing businesses (SGBs) in emerging markets across Africa and the MENA region.

Her leadership will also be crucial in advancing CFF’s research and impact initiatives, particularly in promoting gender lens investing through specific impact research projects.

CFF’s mission is to support local capital providers in frontier markets by collaborating with fund managers, funders, and other stakeholders to develop and scale innovative financing models. Egwim’s appointment aligns with the organization’s goal of driving economic growth through inclusive financial solutions.

“We are thrilled to welcome Chinwe Egwim to the CFF team,” said Drew Von Glahn, Executive Director of CFF.

“Her extensive knowledge and strategic insights will be invaluable as we work together to accelerate financing solutions for small and growing businesses, ultimately driving economic growth and development in frontier markets.”

Expressing her enthusiasm, Egwim said, “I am excited to be part of an organization that is making a significant impact on the financial landscape in emerging markets.

I look forward to collaborating with our stakeholders to develop and implement innovative solutions that will bridge the financing gap.”

Egwim’s appointment underscores CFF’s dedication to fostering economic development through research-driven and inclusive finance strategies in emerging markets.
