Banky W confirms birth of second baby with wife, Adesua

Nigerian R&B star and entrepreneur Bankole Wellington, widely known as Banky W, and his wife, celebrated actress Adesua Etomi, have joyfully announced the arrival of their second child, a baby boy.

Banky W shared the news on Instagram with a touching video that highlights his dedication to family life and the joy surrounding their new addition.

The couple, beloved for their shared journey and family-oriented lifestyle, continues to inspire fans across Nigeria and beyond.

This joyful announcement follows the birth of their first child and marks yet another special chapter in their lives.

In the video, Banky W is seen engaging in various household roles, cooking, cleaning, and supporting Adesua.

Reflecting on his family commitment, he said, “But more importantly than that I am a husband and a father. We just had our second child who is an amazing young boy.”

Banky W revealed that he has taken on numerous responsibilities since the baby’s arrival, describing his role as a “chef, housekeeper, nanny, homework teacher, masseuse, and more” — all in service of a supportive partnership.

His post emphasised his commitment to gender equality, saying, “supporting women’s economic power means doing my part in our home and community.”

He expanded on this idea, saying, “Partnership is 100-100, not 50-50. That means that in this season, I’ve been a chef, housekeeper, nanny, homework teacher, masseuse, and more all as part of my duty as a supportive husband and present father of two. And honestly, I couldn’t be happier.” He continued, “Supporting Women’s Economic Power means doing my part in our home.”

Recall Adesua had previously announced her pregnancy on October 14, and the couple now celebrate becoming a family of four.

Banky W and Adesua, who married in South Africa in November 2017, welcomed their first child, Hazaiah Olusegun Wellington, in 2021.
