Bay FC retain Oshoala ahead of new season

Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala has been retained by Bay FC for the 2025 season following the club’s debut campaign in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).  

The 30-year-old forward joined Bay FC from Barcelona Femeni in January 2024 and quickly established herself as a key player, finishing as the team’s leading scorer for the season.

Despite her stellar performances, Bay FC narrowly missed out on qualifying for the NWSL playoffs.

Oshoala, a six-time CAF African Player of the Year, remains one of Africa’s most decorated footballers, and her retention underscores Bay FC’s commitment to building on their inaugural season’s foundation.
