BREAKING; Bruno Labbadia rejects Super Eagles coaching job

In a surprising turn of events, Bruno Labbadia has reversed his decision to coach the Super Eagles of Nigeria, as reported by News360 Nigeria.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) had announced on Tuesday that the German coach would take charge of the national team.

However, reports from Germany indicate that the 58-year-old former Germany international striker has now declined the offer to manage the three-time African champions.

The decision reportedly stems from the NFF’s failure to finalize a contractual agreement with Labbadia before making the public announcement.

Labbadia was originally expected to lead the Super Eagles in their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Benin Republic and Rwanda.

With his withdrawal, the NFF’s technical director, Austin Eguavoen, may now step in to guide the team for these crucial fixtures.
