BREAKING: NLC, TUC refutes Tinubu’s claims of agreement on new minimum wage

Organised Labour have refuted Tinubu’s statement claiming that that an agreement had been reached on new national minimum salaries in his nationwide broadcast to mark Democracy Day.

According to Organised Labour, the Tripartite Committee on the National Minimum Wage did not reach an agreement at the close of negotiations on Friday, June 7.

Rather, two amounts, such as N250,000 from Organised Labour and N62,000 from government and Organised Private Sector, OPS, were arrived at and should have been submitted to the President.

In a statement by the Acting President of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Prince Adewale Adeyanju, Labour noted that anything to the contrary was not only doctored but won’t be accepted by Labour.
