The Nigerian Police Force has declared David Hundeyin, the Editor-in-Chief of West Africa Weekly, wanted in connection with the prosecution of Isaac Bristol, who is accused of managing the prominent whistleblower account PIDOM Nigeria.

Bristol faces serious charges, including money laundering, cybercrime, and the illegal dissemination of classified documents.

Force Public Relations Officer ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi announced on Tuesday that Hundeyin, along with Michael Temidayo Alade, is being sought as an alleged accomplice in the case. Bristol is currently detained at Kuje Correctional Centre after his arraignment at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

David Hundeyin, known for his award-winning investigative journalism on corruption and human rights abuses, is reportedly in exile, seeking to evade persecution by Nigerian authorities.

This development underscores the escalating tensions and legal complexities surrounding the case, as the police intensify their efforts to apprehend those involved.
