BREAKING: Tragedy strikes Sokoto SSG’s family as fire outbreak kills Four

A devastating fire incident in the early hours of Monday claimed the lives of a daughter of Sokoto State Secretary to the Government (SSG), Alhaji Muhammadu Bello Sifawa, and her three children.

The deceased, who was the wife of Alhaji Muhammadu Yusuf Bello, Permanent Secretary of the State Ministry of Sports and Youths Development, perished along with her children while they were asleep. Her husband was the sole survivor of the tragic incident.

The fire, which engulfed the entire residence, was battled for hours by the Sokoto State Fire Service. The cause of the inferno remains under investigation.

The remains of the victims are scheduled for burial at the Sheikh Shehu Usmanu Danfodiyo Mosque in Sifawa, at the family home of the grieving SSG, late Monday night.

Dignitaries, including Deputy Governor Idris Mohammed Gobir, members of the state executive council, APC leaders, and other well-wishers, have been visiting the family to offer their condolences.
