Comedian Taaooma announces birth of first baby with husband
Popular Nigerian skit maker Taaooma and her husband, Abdulazeez ‘Abula’ Greene, have joyfully announced the arrival of their first child.
The couple shared the news on Instagram, posting a touching video introducing their newborn daughter, Amani Korede Makeda Greene, who was born on November 7, 2024.
Taaooma and Abula, who got engaged in October 2020, had a private wedding, which was later revealed when Taaooma marked their first anniversary in January 2022.
Speaking about their decision to maintain privacy, Abula explained in a 2022 interview with TheCable Lifestyle that they mutually agreed to keep their marriage away from public scrutiny.
Fans and well-wishers have flooded the couple’s social media pages with congratulatory messages, celebrating this new chapter in their lives.
“We’re married, we got married on January 23, 2021. I don’t know if I should call it low-key or not…but I know that we are married. There’s nothing low-key about it. Sometimes, the things that keep you out should be kept coded,” he said.
Born Maryam Apaokagi, Taaooma studied Tourism and Travel Service Management at the Kwara State University.
She started skit-making after convincing her fiancé to teach her the basics of video editing.
She rose to stardom in 2019 with a skit based on African parents taking their children to school.
Since then, she has established herself as a household name in the skit-making industry
Greene is a cinematographer, music video director, commercial director, filmmaker, and talent manager.
He currently serves as the CEO and founder of The Greenade Company.
He has also directed music videos, and commercials for Zlatan, Fireboy DML, Portable, Dr Dolor, Mohbad, Adekunle Gold, and Taaooma.
