Davido makes history with record-breaking TikTok livestream in Africa

Nigerian music superstar Davido has set a new milestone on TikTok, achieving the highest viewership for a livestream in Africa.

His October 30 session, co-hosted by popular creators Peller, Jarvis, and Jo Blaq, attracted an impressive 389,800 viewers, with a peak of 164,000 tuning in simultaneously.

This groundbreaking stream eclipses the previous record held by Peller, in a session featuring Tiwa Savage.

During the livestream, Davido’s fans also showered him with a remarkable 377 lion gifts, each valued at $400, highlighting the overwhelming support for the singer on the platform.

In a heartwarming gesture, Davido announced that all earnings from the gifts would be donated to his co-hosts, Peller, Jarvis, and Jo Blaq.
