Decomposing body of 45-year-old woman found in Ogun apartment

The Ogun State Police Command has reported the alleged suicide of a 45-year-old tenant, Tolulope Olusanya, whose lifeless body was discovered in her residence around Madojutimi Abiola Way, Abeokuta.  

According to the police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, the landlord, Adebesin Adebayo, raised the alarm after noticing Olusanya had not been seen for several days.

Concerned, he visited her apartment and discovered it locked from the inside, with a strong stench emanating from within.

The incident was reported to the Kemta Divisional Police Station on Monday at about 8:15 PM.

She noted that, based on the information, detectives from the Kemta Division arrived at the scene, broke into the apartment, and found Olusanya’s body lying on the bed, swollen.

Odutola stated that efforts to reach her family proved abortive, as no immediate relatives could be contacted, and attempts to transport her body to the nearest hospital were hindered by a lack of medical equipment to prevent potential infection.
