Ekene Umenwa welcomes first child with spiritual maternity shoot

Nollywood actress Ekene Umenwa has joyfully announced the birth of her first child, celebrating the occasion with a unique and spiritually-inspired maternity shoot. 

Taking to Instagram, Ekene shared photos where she beautifully recreated the image of the Virgin Mary, expressing her deep gratitude for the Lord’s mercy and the blessing of becoming a mother.

Describing her pregnancy journey as a wonderful experience, Ekene praised the Blessed Trinity and Mother Mary for their guidance and support throughout.

She revealed that she was inspired by a vision to dress as Mother Mary, a figure she holds in deep reverence, to honor her maternal care and intercession during her pregnancy.

The actress humbly acknowledged feeling unworthy to emulate Mother Mary but expressed joy in paying tribute to her.

“I am truly blessed by the Lord’s mercy. My pregnancy journey was a wonderful experience, and I give praise to the Blessed Trinity and honour to our Mother Mary, who stood by me throughout.

“In my humble attempt to honour her maternal care and intercession, I was inspired by a vision she gave me while praying at the grotto. It brings me immense joy to be able to dress as Mother Mary, whom I hold dear. Although I feel unworthy to stand in her presence, her mercy has touched me deeply”, she wrote on Instagram.
