German President Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier is set to embark on a three-day official visit to Nigeria from December 10 to 12, marking the third high-level engagement between Nigeria and Germany since President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s inauguration in May 2023.

Accompanied by a delegation of top German industry leaders and board members specializing in IT, high-tech, and energy, President Steinmeier aims to strengthen bilateral ties and explore opportunities for economic collaboration.

During his visit, the German leader will hold strategic meetings with key Nigerian officials, including President Tinubu and Dr. Alieu Omar Touray, President of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

In Lagos, Steinmeier will engage with Nigeria’s vibrant cultural sector, meeting renowned figures such as Dr. Nike Okundaye, widely known as Mama Nike of the Nike Art Gallery, and Nobel Laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka.
