Gov Okpebholo approves name change for Edo varsity

Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has approved the renaming of Edo State University, Uzairue, to Edo University, Iyamho.

The announcement was made in a statement issued on Monday in Benin by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr. Umar Ikhilor, who confirmed that the change takes immediate effect.

Ikhilor noted that all official documentation relating to the institution will now reflect the new name, Edo University, Iyamho.
