Gov Okpebholo submits six commissioner-nominees for legislative approval

Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has advanced efforts to establish his cabinet by submitting a list of six commissioner-nominees to the State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.

The nominees, whose appointments were conveyed in a letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Umar Musa Ikhilor, are poised to join the State Executive Council upon legislative approval.

The letter stated:

“At the instance of His Excellency, the Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, I write to forward for your consideration and confirmation the underlisted names as Commissioner designates.”

The nominees include:

1. Hon. Paul Nosayaba Ohonbamu

2. Hon. Dr. Washington Osa Osifo

3. Dr. Paddy Iyamu

4. Sir Lucky Eseigbe

5. Andrew Ijegbai

6. Barr. Marie Olabisi Idaomi

The State House of Assembly is expected to commence the screening process shortly to determine their suitability for the roles.
