Hajj: Two more Nigerian pilgrims die in Saudi Arabia

Two more pilgrims from Kwara State, Nigeria, have passed away in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

The deceased, Salman Alade and Ayishat Ologele were among the thousands of Nigerians who travelled to the sacred city to participate in the Hajj pilgrimage

This tragic news follows the earlier deaths of two other Kwara pilgrims, Saliu Mohammed, who was part of the third batch of the state contingent, and Hawawu Mohammed, who passed away in Madinah.

These latest fatalities bring the total number of deaths among Kwara pilgrims to four.

Reports indicate that Ayishat Ologele fell ill during the journey from Madinah to Mecca and subsequently died, while Salman Alade became ill in Mecca and also passed away. Although the precise causes of death have not been officially confirmed, it is believed they died of natural causes.

The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board in Saudi Arabia confirmed the deaths. Abdulsalam Abdulkadir, the Executive Secretary of the board, expressed condolences to the bereaved families, praying for Allah’s comfort and forgiveness for the deceased.
