Mbappé excluded from France squad for November Nations League matches

Kylian Mbappé has been excluded from France’s squad for their upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Israel and Italy, as confirmed by head coach Didier Deschamps.

This marks the second consecutive squad from which the Real Madrid star has been left out, following his absence in October’s games against Israel and Belgium.

The 25-year-old forward was initially rested in October to recover from a minor thigh injury sustained during club duty with Real Madrid.

However, the situation sparked controversy after Mbappé made a swift return to action with his club, even before France had played their matches.

Mbappé missed France’s 4-1 victory over Israel and the 2-1 win against Belgium, choosing instead to take a brief break in Stockholm with his entourage.

During this period, Swedish media reported an investigation into the player for an alleged rape incident. Mbappé quickly denied the claims, labeling them as “fake news,” and his lawyer announced plans to pursue legal action for libel.

A Swedish prosecutor confirmed that an investigation had been opened, without naming Mbappe.

Since then, the ex-Paris Saint-Germain forward has made four appearances for his club, scoring one goal. However, he remains short of his explosive best form.
