Renowned Isoko highlife musician Dr. Arube Otor is set to make headlines with a grand wedding ceremony involving three brides on the same day in Delta State.

The viral wedding flier features Dr. Arube dressed in matching traditional attire with his soon-to-be wives, Oghenekome, Ewoma, and Oghenekaro, all of whom hail from Delta State.

The ceremony details were shared by Arube’s foster son, Emperor Efih (Oscar), who also serves as one of the RSVPs.

Efih confirmed that while the initial plan involved four brides, one withdrew due to personal reasons, leaving three brides to partake in the event.

The wedding, described as a cultural spectacle, is expected to attract widespread attention, blending tradition and celebration in an extraordinary manner.

Explaining the rationale behind Arube’s decision, Efih said, “Arube married two women about 20 years ago. One divorced him, leaving him with just one wife. To cut costs, he decided to marry four women this year. Along the way, one pulled out,” said as quoted by News360 Nigeria.

Efih also highlighted Arube’s legacy the Delta music scene. “He is a music legend in Delta. He sings Isoko highlife. He has been in the music scene for over 30 years. However, at the beginning of his life, he was a driver who mixed music with his career. He had a band with a group of people, but they split up, and he formed his dance band, which he named Arube, about 12 years ago. Since then, he has released more than 10 albums.”
