NAF strikes ISWAP gathering in Borno, neutralizes insurgents
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), under Operation Hadin Kai, has launched a decisive airstrike on a gathering of Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) insurgents at Kaula in Borno State, killing several terrorists.
This was disclosed by counterterrorism expert Zagazola Makama via a post on his X handle on Wednesday.
According to intelligence reports shared by Makama, the insurgents had been assembling at the location with gun trucks, motorcycles, and other logistical supplies on Tuesday, likely in preparation for an attack on military installations, particularly at Malam Fatori.
Responding swiftly, the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai conducted precise airstrikes that destroyed the insurgents’ vehicles and equipment while neutralizing several fighters.
Makama confirmed that the successful operation disrupted the terrorists’ plans, significantly reducing their capacity to launch an attack on troops stationed at Malam Fatori.
