Paris 2024 Olympics: Samuel Ogazi secure spot in Men’s 400m Final

Samuel Ogazi, on Tuesday night confidently secured his spot in the men’s 400m final, showcasing his talent and determination.

Competing in Heat 3 of the semi-finals, Ogazi finished in a commendable third place, earning him a well-deserved ticket to the final round.

His performance has not only thrilled fans but also set the stage for what promises to be an exhilarating showdown.

The debutant ran a personal best time of 44.41s.

Great Britain’s Matthew Hudson-Smith won the race in a time of 44.07s, while Michael Norman came in second in a time of 44.26s.

Ogazi is the first Nigerian athlete to qualify for the men’s 400m final in 36 years.

Innocent Egbunike was the last Nigerian to achieve the feat.

The final of the event will hold on Thursday.
