Liverpool delivered a commanding performance to go four points clear at the top of the Premier League, dismantling Tottenham Hotspur 6-3 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Arne Slot’s high-flying Reds exposed an injury-depleted Spurs side, showcasing their title credentials in emphatic style.

Luis Diaz opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, heading in a pinpoint cross from Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Alexis Mac Allister followed suit with another header 13 minutes later, doubling Liverpool’s lead.

Spurs briefly rallied as James Maddison curled in a stunning goal four minutes before halftime, but Dominik Szoboszlai restored Liverpool’s two-goal advantage in first-half stoppage time, finishing off a Mohamed Salah assist.

Despite Spurs’ fatigue from a midweek Carabao Cup clash against Manchester United, Liverpool showed no mercy in the second half.

Salah made history by leveling Billy Liddell’s tally of 228 Liverpool goals before overtaking him, scoring his second of the game to secure fourth place on the club’s all-time scoring list.

Dejan Kulusevski extended his scoring streak to five games with a consolation goal in the 72nd minute, while Dominic Solanke threatened a late comeback for Spurs.

However, Diaz sealed the deal with his second goal, rounding off a dominant display by Liverpool.

The win underscores Liverpool’s momentum as they aim to maintain their grip at the summit of the Premier League table.
