President Tinubu arrives Enugu on State visit (photos)
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, for an official visit to the state.
The President landed aboard a Nigeria Air Force Airbus A330 at approximately 1:22 PM.
During the visit, he is set to commission several key projects initiated by Governor Peter Mbah. These include the Enugu International Conference Center, a state-of-the-art facility built to enhance the state’s socio-economic activities.
According to a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, President Tinubu will also inaugurate 30 completed and equipped Smart Green Schools, part of the 260 planned across all wards in the state, as well as 60 Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres, out of the 260 under construction statewide. Additionally, he will commission 90 urban roads in Enugu City, a high-tech Command and Control Centre equipped with 150 AI-fitted surveillance vehicles, and several completed rural roads.
Prominent figures present to welcome the President included Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, Abia State Governor Dr. Alex Otti, Anambra Deputy Governor, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Benjamin Kalu, former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim, Minister of Works Dave Umahi, and business magnate Arthur Eze, among others.
