Rooney dismissed as Plymouth head coach

Plymouth Argyle has decided to relieve Wayne Rooney of his duties as head coach following a string of disappointing results.  

Currently languishing at the bottom of the Championship table, the club’s poor form prompted this decision.

The news of Rooney’s departure was first reported on Wednesday morning by renowned football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano.

Romano wrote on X: “Official: Wayne Rooney leaves Plymouth Argyle with immediate effect.

“Club confirms mutual decision after only one win in 14 games since joining the club.”
