Sanwo-Olu rocks NYSC uniform, dashes out N100,000 to each corps member at Lagos Camp

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu made a notable appearance at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Iyana Ipaja, donning an NYSC uniform as he arrived for the official closing ceremony of the Batch ‘B’ Stream I Orientation Course on July 16, 2024.

In a viral video capturing the event, Governor Sanwo-Olu was seen warmly engaging with corps members and later presented each of them with a generous gift of N100,000.

The governor expressed his deep appreciation for the outgoing youth corps members, taking pictures with them in an atmosphere filled with positive energy.

During his visit, Governor Sanwo-Olu made several significant announcements, including allocating N5 billion for the construction of a new permanent site for the Lagos NYSC Camp.

He also said, ”Each youth corps member passing out today will receive N100,000, which will be deposited directly into their accounts next week.The top 100 corps members from this batch will receive automatic employment in the Lagos Public Service after their service year.’

The governor also delivered a 32-seater Hyundai bus to the camp. His visit and the subsequent announcements have generated widespread discussion and praise online.
