Southampton set to appoint Ivan Jurić as new head coach
Southampton Football Club is set to appoint Ivan Jurić as its new head coach, replacing Russell Martin, in a significant move aimed at revitalizing the team.
According to renowned sports journalist Fabrizio Romano, Jurić’s contract is expected to be signed today.
A verbal agreement has reportedly been reached on the contract terms, with the only remaining hurdle being the resolution of Jurić’s exit terms from his current position at AS Roma.
This appointment is a major step in Southampton’s restructuring efforts as the club seeks to make a strong comeback in their upcoming campaign.
Jurić, who has reportedly “said yes” to the opportunity with the Saints, will not be joined by Rohl, as previously speculated.
Romano said, “Southampton have agreed a deal to appoint Ivan Jurić as new head coach to replace Russell Martin. The contract is set to be signed today.
“Verbal agreement in place on contract terms; formally working on exit terms from AS Roma. Ivan Jurić said yes to Saints FC, Röhl won’t join.”
