Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali’s mother passes away weeks after father’s death

Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has been struck by another devastating loss, as he mourns the death of his mother, just two months after his father’s passing.  

Nwabali, who announced his father’s demise in November 2024, took to social media to share the heartbreaking news about his mother.

Expressing his grief, he wrote, “A very very crazy world indeed, Rip mom, worst year of my life already.”

The 25-year-old shot-stopper, known for his resilience on the field, has faced a series of personal tragedies in what he described as the most challenging period of his life.

Fans, teammates, and well-wishers have flooded Nwabali’s social media accounts with messages of support and condolence, urging him to remain strong during this difficult time.

Nwabali, who has represented Nigeria at various levels, continues to receive prayers and encouragement as he navigates this trying phase of his life.

The 28-year-old shot stopper was excused from the Super Eagles camp for the game against Rwanda last year when his father passed, to allow him mourn.
