Tension as 5-Storey building under construction collapses in Onitsha

A five-story structure under construction at Dennis Memorial Grammar School in Onitsha, Anambra State has collapsed.

According to thediscovererng.com, the Anglican School’s structure was in its last stages of construction before it fell Wednesday.

Although no lives were lost in the tragedy, a source at the school, who requested anonymity, told our correspondent that the institution had spent a significant amount of money building the construction.

The source said the building started caving in from the last floor until it came down to the rubbles.

He added that the failed structure did not lose any danger as the students’ hostel was far from the building site which saved the situation.
