Tinubu appoints new members to governing councils of MAN Oron, Aviation colleges, others

President Bola Tinubu has appointed new members to the governing councils of two key specialized institutions in Nigeria: the Maritime Academy of Nigeria, located in Oron, Akwa Ibom State, and the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology in Zaria, Kaduna State.

In a statement issued by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, it was highlighted that the President expects these appointees to serve with integrity and dedication. Their primary focus will be on enhancing the structural, academic, and overall standards of these vital educational institutions.

The appointee of Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron, Akwa Ibom State are:

Kehinde Akinola – Chairman

Shehu Maigari Doguwa – Member

Samuel Isichei -Member

Faisal Lawal Halidu – Member

The appointees for the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria, Kaduna State are:

Anthony Manzo – Chairman, Ngozi Okuoma, Durungunwa Abdulmalik, Biodun Taiwo and Florence Toyin Olorunfemi as members.

In a related development, President Tinubu has also approved the appointment to the governing councils of six federal colleges of education.

The appointees into Federal College of Education (Technical), Yauri, Kebbi State are: Ismaila Gadaka – Chairman, Abdulhakeem Adegoke, Pam Ishaya, Abubakar Sadique Fakai, and Zara Duamlong Usman as members.

The appointees into Federal College of Education (Technical), Isu, Ebonyi State,

Mohammed Sani Takori – Chairman, Dauda Onipede, Victor Mela Danzaria, Solomon Ayuba and Mario Eno Owumi as members.

The appointees into Federal College of Education, Odugbo, Benue State are: Baba Alphonsus Homsuk – Chairman, Kayode Ajiboye, Rex Ogbonna, Jude Ngaji and John Yada Viko as member.

The appointees into Federal College of Education, Jama’are, Bauchi State are: Aisha Yelwa Ibrahim Tahir – Chairman, Dorren Ikedi Udechukwu, Brass Yaji, Mustapha Shehu and Joshua Oludare Adewale as members.

The appointees into Federal College of Education, Gidan Madi, Sokoto are: Abdullahi Adamu – Chairman, Olatunji Akinbiyi, Mohammed Adamu Malala, Saleh Musa Audu and Lami Ehi Oguogho as members.

The appointees into Federal College of Education (Technical), Benin City, Edo State are: Tukur Jikamshi – Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu Loko, Asimiyu Alarape, Abubakar Abubakar Bello and Christopher Okaeben as members.

The President stressed that he anticipates that the new members of the boards of these institutions will serve with dedication and commitment to improving the standards of learning in the nation’s federal colleges of education.

President Tinubu has also approved the appointments to the governing councils of 11 federal universities and tertiary institutions.

The President stressed that he expects that the new members of the governing boards of these institutions will perform their functions effectively and creditably and within the ambits of their statutory responsibilities.

The appointees into Nigerian Maritime University, Okerenkoko, Delta State are: Temi Harriman – Chairman, Adeola Adeogun, Benedict Aguele, Freeman Kasa and Babangida Alhassan Abdullahi, as members.

The appointees into Nigerian University of Science and Technology, Abuja are: Rabe Mudi Bala – Chairman, Akinola Fagbemi, Rakiatou Bagnou, Alwel Egwurugu and Femi Osabinu as members.

The appointees into Federal University of Agriculture, Bassam-Biri, Bayelsa are: Bram Baifa – Chairman, Richard Odigbo, Yomi Johnson, Fatima Owuna and Christy Akpehuan Omoruyi as members.

The appointees into Federal University of Health Sciences, Kwale, Delta State are: Ahmadu Barau Banye Salisu – Chairman, Aragbaye Oluwatosin Gbolagunte, Talba Bauchi, Akaninodo Kehinde Adekunle and Chibuike Ikenga as members.
