Tinubu, Ganduje, Mamman Daura others in attendance as Barau’s children weds (Photos)

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, alongside an array of prominent figures, attended the wedding fatiha of the children of Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, held at the National Mosque in Abuja on Friday.

The double wedding featured Jibrin Barau I. Jibrin (Abba) marrying Maryam Nasir Ado Bayero, daughter of the former Emir of Bichi, and Aisha Barau I. Jibrin marrying Engineer Abubakar, son of Dr. Abdulmunaf Yunusa Sarina, President of the Azman Group of Companies.

The ceremonies followed the two raka’at Juma’at prayers and were officiated by the Imam of the National Mosque, Professor Ibrahim Maqari.

President Tinubu played a central role in the ceremony, serving as both Wakil and Waliy for the children of Senator Barau through Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajuddeen Abbas. Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, APC National Chairman, acted as Waliy for Maryam Nasir Ado Bayero, while Senator Tanko Almakura, former Nasarawa State Governor, served as Wakil for Engineer Abubakar.

The event attracted dignitaries from across the political spectrum, including governors, senators, ministers, business moguls, and religious and traditional leaders. Among the governors in attendance were Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State, Peter Mbah of Enugu State, Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State, Dikko Umar Radda of Katsina State, Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State, and Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State.

Many Senators, including; former President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, Ali Ndume, Sani Musa, Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai, Aminu Iya Abbas, Buhari Abdulfatai, Mohammed Tahir Monguno, Ikira Aliyu Bilbis, Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo, Salihu Mustapha, Shehu Buba, Abdul Ningi, Abdullahi Yahaya, Ahmed Lawan, Sahabi Ya’u, Kamorudeen Adekunle Adedibu, Danjuma Goje, Lawal Usman, Kawu Sumaila, attended the wedding.

Members of the ECOWAS Parliament, including the Fourth Deputy Speaker, Billay G Tunkara, were also in attendance.

Secretary Government of the Federation(SGF), Senator George Akume, the Chief of Staff, a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, Special Assistant to the President (Political Affairs), Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir Masari, were in attendance.
