Tinubu okays redeployment of Kana, Aduda, 9 other Permanent Secretaries
President Bola Tinubu has authorized the redeployment of 11 Federal Permanent Secretaries to new roles across various ministries, in a significant administrative reshuffle.
The announcement was made on Thursday by Mrs. Eno Olotu, Director of Information and Public Relations in the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation.
Key Redeployments:
1. Gabriel Aduda: Moved from the Ministry of Women Affairs to the Ministry of Defence.
2. Olumuyiwa Enitan Abel: Reassigned from Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction to the Ministry of Education as an understudy to the Permanent Secretary.
3. Temitope Peter Fashedemi: Transferred from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security to the State House.
4. Dr. Shuaib Mohammed Lamido Belgore: Shifted from Regional Development to Housing and Urban Development.
5. Dr. Marcus Olaniyi Ogunbiyi: Moved from Housing and Urban Development to Agriculture and Food Security.
6. Adebiyi Olusesan Olufunso: Reassigned from the State House to the Ministry of Works.
7. Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana: Transferred from the Ministry of Defence to Aviation and Aerospace Development.
8. Dr. Yakubu Adam Kofarmata: Shifted from the Ministry of Works to Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction.
9. Raymond Omenka Omachi: Moved from the Common Services Office to the Ministry of Finance (Special Duties).
10. Mrs. Tinuke Watti: Reassigned from the former Ministry of Sports Development to the Ministry of Regional Development.
11. Dr. Maryam Ismaila Keshinro: Moved from the Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs to the Ministry of Women Affairs.
The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, has directed that the handing-over and taking-over processes must be finalized by December 31, 2024.
