President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to depart from Abuja ahead of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration in Lagos.

Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu’s spokesperson, disclosed that the President will spend the Sallah holidays in Lagos, where he will engage in prayer and reflect on Nigeria’s advancement in accordance with his Renewed Hope Agenda.

The date for Eid Al-Adha, June 16, was determined by the sighting of the Dhul Hijjah crescent in Saudi Arabia, marking the beginning of the twelfth Islamic month.

This festival, celebrated on the 10th of Dhu Al-Hijjah, is the second major Islamic celebration after Eid-ul-Fitr. Hajj for the year 1445 AH-2024 will commence on June 14, with Arafah Day falling on June 15, preceding the Eid festivities on June 16, 2024.
