1. Destiny Etiko

Nollywood actress Destiny Etiko was born in Udi, Enugu State. She was born on August 12th, 1989, and she received her degree from Nnamdi Azikiwe University.

She rose to fame as a character on screen after appearing in Ernest’s 2012 film Idemili.

Since then, she has starred in multiple movies, garnering nominations and awards.

She is interested in enhancing the lives of those who are impoverished and oversees a nonprofit organization named the Destiny Etiko Foundation.

2. Patience Ozokwor

Famously referred to as “Mama G,” Patience Ozokwor is a seasoned Nollywood actress, fashion designer, and gospel singer.

She is a widow with children who is originally from Ngwo in Enugu State. She attended the Management and Technology Enugu school, and most of her film roles have seen her play a villainous woman.

She recently starred in the Mo Abudu Netflix film Chief Daddy and has won multiple film awards.

3. Rachael Okonkwo

Nollywood actress Nnenna Rachael Okonkwo, also known as Nkoli Nwa Nsukka, hails from Uzo Uwani in Enugu, Nigeria.

She is a well-known figure in the entertainment sector and an Aquadon Water brand ambassador.

She graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and was born on May 26, 1987. She is a selfless person who is committed to supporting those who are less fortunate than her.

She portrayed the lead role of Nkoli Nwa Nsukka as Nkoli in 2014, which was her breakthrough role and subsequent film debut.

4. Mary Remmy Njoku

Mary Remmy Njoku is an actress, producer, and content creator from Nigeria.

Born to Igbo parents, she grew up in Lagos and graduated from Lagos State University with a degree in English Language.

Together with Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha, she made her screen debut in the 2004 Nollywood film “Home Sickness.”

5. John Utaka

Currently serving as a youth coach at Montpellier HSC, John Chukwudi Utaka is a former striker for the Nigerian national team.

Born in Enugu State on January 8, 1982, he has played for clubs all over the world and for Nigeria at two World Cups and three Africa Cup of Nations since he started playing in 2002.

6. Daniel K. Daniel

Daniel Kanayo Daniel is a well-known Enugu State actor and model. He was born in Maiduguri, Borno state, on May 22, 1986.

His performance as Bossman in the film A Soldier’s Story is what made him most famous, and it earned him the Best Actor and Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) in 2016.

7. Frank Edwards

Enugu State is home to well-known gospel musician Frank Ugochukwu Edwards.

Edwards is the founder and owner of Rocktown Records, a record label that houses artists like Gil Joe, King BAS, Nkay, Dudu, and Edwards himself.

He started singing at a young age and has since amassed a large discography that includes numerous hit singles. He is currently regarded as one of Nigeria’s top gospel performers.

8. Chidinma and Chidiebere Aneke

The “Aneke twins,” Chidinma and Chidiebere Aneke, are Nollywood actresses from Enugu State.

Both of them graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, with degrees in banking and finance and mass communication.

The Aneke twins made their screen debut in the 1999 film “Ebuka,” which marked their entry into the Nollywood realm.

Chigozie Stephanie Alichi, also known as Chizzy Alichi, is a Nollywood actress from Enugu State.

She graduated from Enugu State University of Science and Technology with a degree in agriculture engineering and was born on December 23, 1993.

Joining Nollywood in 2010, she rose to fame after starring in Yul Edochie’s 2016 film Akaraoku, which translates to “hot akara” and received a lot of praise on social media.

10. Uche Ogbodo

Another well-known Nollywood actress from the state of Enugu is Uche Ogbodo. She graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, with a degree in banking and finance on May 17th, 1986.

After starring in her first film, Another Bondage (2006), she went on to play leading roles in a number of films, including Players, Four Sisters, Honor My Will, Your Holiness, Your Last Action, and Royal Palace.

For her performance in “Mummy Why,” she won the Best Supporting Actress and Fashion Icon of the Year Awards at the City of the People Entertainment Awards.
