Rasmus Hojlund delivered a game-changing performance off the bench, scoring twice to help Manchester United secure a crucial 2-1 comeback victory against Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League.

The win lifts United into the top eight of the competition’s standings, putting them on course for automatic qualification to the last 16.

Hojlund’s brace takes his Europa League tally to five goals this season, underlining his importance to the squad.

The 21-year-old Danish forward equalized shortly after coming on, capitalizing on a clever combination between Antony and Amad Diallo.

When Diallo’s shot was blocked, Hojlund reacted quickly to prod the ball into the net from close range.

His second goal was equally impressive, as he latched onto a precise Bruno Fernandes through ball, sprinted past defenders, and drilled a low shot into the bottom corner to complete United’s turnaround.

Hojlund’s heroics came in response to an early setback caused by a blunder from goalkeeper Andre Onana.

The Cameroonian’s misplaced pass in his penalty area allowed Viktoria Plzen’s Pavel Sulc to intercept and set up Matej Vydra for a simple tap-in.

While Onana’s error raised concerns, Hojlund’s impact ensured United secured the three points, keeping their Europa League hopes alive.
