Veteran actor Patrick Doyle lauds Davido’s humility amid fame

Renowned Nollywood actor Patrick Doyle has expressed admiration for Afrobeats sensation David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, highlighting his remarkable humility despite his immense wealth, global fame, and privileged upbringing.  

In a touching Facebook post, Doyle lauded the music star for his ability to remain grounded and composed amidst the pressures of public scrutiny and rivalry within the entertainment industry.

“He is perhaps the least arrogant of his peers, even when he has the credentials to be the most arrogant, given the aristocracy of his antecedents compared to his street-raised peers,” Doyle remarked.

The actor attributed Davido’s humility to the influence of his father, a billionaire business mogul renowned for his modesty. Doyle further lauded the artist’s willingness to accept corrections from elders and his avoidance of public feuds.

“I have also noticed his attitude towards them and the relentless attacks. For the most part, he has maintained a calm disposition and a reluctance to engage his adversaries. I find this commendable, and I imagine it is an inherited trait from his father, who, though a business mogul, is possibly the most self-effacing billionaire around,” Doyle added.

While acknowledging that Davido’s showbiz persona might appear flashy and brash, Doyle clarified that such traits are necessities of the entertainment industry rather than reflections of his true character.
