Why I wouldn’t have married without Chioma – Singer Davido reveals

Nigerian music superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed that his wife, Chioma, played a pivotal role in his decision to get married.  

Speaking on The Morning Hustle podcast, Davido reflected on their 13-year relationship, praising Chioma for her unwavering support and significant influence on his personal and professional life. The award-winning singer described their wedding day as the happiest moment of his life.

Davido credited Chioma’s dedication and positive impact as the driving force behind his decision to embrace marriage, highlighting how her presence has shaped his journey both as an artiste and as a man.

The couple’s enduring bond continues to be celebrated by fans who admire their love story and mutual commitment.

“Without Chioma, I wouldn’t have gotten married. There’s no point,” Davido stated.

When asked further how he met his wife, he said, “She has been my girl for like 12, 13 years.

“I was famous, but I want like big, I was kind of okay; now I’m making like 5 to 6 hundred thousand dollars for a show on a good day. I’m making more.

“She was with me when I was making 2 thousand dollars. She is my friend.”

The couple tied the knot on June 25, 2024, at a lavish ceremony in Lagos.
