Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed hope that US President Joe Biden will endorse his proposed “victory plan” to bring an end to the ongoing war with Russia.

Zelensky announced his intentions ahead of his scheduled trip to Washington, where he plans to meet with Biden and other key political figures.

Speaking at a press conference in Kyiv alongside European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Zelensky emphasized the importance of his plan, which focuses on decisive actions between October and December.

“We hope that President Biden will support this plan. If implemented, we believe it will bring the conflict to an end,” Zelensky said.

The Ukrainian president is set to present this proposal after months of intense combat, with Moscow advancing in eastern Ukraine and Kyiv maintaining control of parts of Russia’s Kursk region.

In addition to his meeting with Biden, Zelensky is also scheduled to meet Vice President Kamala Harris and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Zelensky further revealed plans to host another international peace summit in November, inviting Russia to participate, despite President Vladimir Putin’s stance that peace talks will only be possible if Ukraine concedes four of its regions.
