2027: How opposition can grab power from Tinubu

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has asserted that a coalition of political parties is the only strategy capable of unseating President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections.

In a statement released by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele emphasized that major opposition parties—including the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party, and New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP)—must unite to stand a chance of defeating the incumbent. He stated that without this unity, any attempt to challenge Tinubu would be in vain.

“If PDP, Labour, NNPP don’t unite to form a coalition and propose one rugged and solid candidate for the 2027 presidential election, they won’t be able to unseat President Tinubu. It will be a smooth ride for the president in 2027 except there is a strong coalition from the major political parties.”

In PDP especially, Primate Ayodele noted that if the party was thinking about standing alone and fielding Atiku Abubakar, there would be no victory for them. He also made it known that no sitting governor in the PDP can become President in 2027.

“If PDP decides to field Atiku, it will be a disaster, they will lose the election. If PDP wants to stand alone, they will run into debt and as it stands, there is no sitting governor that has the capacity to become president in PDP, They are not strong enough.”
