American rapper, Ybcdul tragically dies in Olney

Abdul Vicks, an American rapper widely known by his stage name “Ybcdul” and suspected to be the head of a violent gang in West Philadelphia, was tragically shot and killed on Friday in the city’s Olney neighborhood.

Ybcdul, who also went by the moniker “Mr. Disrespectful,” was struck multiple times in the chest and right hand at approximately 3:34 pm on the 5500 block of N. 6th Street, according to reports from local sources in the U.S.

Despite being quickly transported to Einstein Medical Center, Vicks was pronounced dead at 3:55 pm.

Vicks was allegedly the leader of the Young Bag Chasers (YBC) gang, a connection reflected in his stage name.

His untimely death has prompted widespread concern and initiated an investigation, though no arrests have been made at this time.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Homicide Unit or the police department’s tipline.

Additionally, Quamere Hall, another rapper known as “Mere Pablo” and suspected to be associated with Vicks, was arrested earlier this month in connection with a fatal shooting last year.
