Davido set to mark birthday with N300m donation to charity

Afrobeats sensation David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has announced his plans to donate N300 million to orphanages and a charity focused on combating youth drug abuse as part of his 32nd birthday celebrations.  

The chart-topping artist revealed the news via his X handle on Monday morning, reaffirming his commitment to giving back to society.

“Once again, for my birthday this year, we are donating to orphanages and a charity that helps young people stay away from drug abuse & addiction. This year is N300m. Details to follow soon,” Davido shared.

This latest philanthropic effort is in line with his past charitable actions. In 2021, to mark his 29th birthday, Davido donated N250 million to 292 orphanages across Nigeria.

The artist’s continuous commitment to social causes highlights his passion for supporting vulnerable communities and addressing pressing issues such as youth drug addiction.
