Germany’s iconic goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer retires from international football

Germany’s legendary goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has officially announced his retirement from international football. 

The 38-year-old, who has been a cornerstone of Germany’s defense for over a decade, made his final appearance for the national team in their Euro 2024 quarter-final defeat to Spain last month.

Manuel Neuer’s illustrious international career began in 2009, and over the years, he earned 124 caps for Germany.
