Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, has publicly apologized to the preacher he assaulted last week, breaking down in tears in a heartfelt video.

The incident, where the “Zazoo Zeh” singer slapped a man who had come to preach at his bar in Ogun State, drew widespread criticism on social media.

Following intense backlash and a three-day ultimatum from gospel artist Testimony Jaga, Portable, visibly emotional and on his knees, expressed deep remorse for his actions.

He was surrounded by a group of people at his bar, who were chanting, “God is the King. Jesus is here.”

“I want to say this to all pastors around the world. I am your son. My brother here is your son. Whatever wrong he has done, we are sorry,” said Jaga, who was present at Portable’s bar.

Earlier, last Monday, Portable had publicly apologized, stating that he would not have slapped the preacher if he had known he was a “true man of God.”

The singer admitted he lashed out because he believed the man had come to his bar to cause him spiritual harm.
