Singer, Tems expresses love for Kanye West

Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, widely known as Tems, has revealed her admiration for the provocative American rapper Kanye West. 

In a recent episode of the ‘Shopping The Sneakers’ podcast, Tems expressed her appreciation for West, mentioning that she often finds a personal connection with his work.

“I love Kanye [West]. I relate to him sometimes,” she remarked.

Tems also opened up about her relationship with American R&B star Brent Faiyaz.

“Brent Faiyaz is my very good friend. I have known him since like 2021. He is a real one. He is always supportive. I have a couple of artists I’m close to and he’s one of them,” she said.

Meanwhile, Tems has become the first female Nigerian artist to reach the 1 billion solo streams mark on Spotify.

She achieved the feat following the release of her much-anticipated debut album, ‘Born In The Wild.’
